Frequently asked questions
Is pork safe for dogs?
Yes, cooked pork is safe and very well absorbed. Veli uses pasteurised pork from Polish farms. Raw pork, on the other hand, is not recommended.
Why is there sweet potato in Veli Pork?
Sweet potato is a natural carbohydrate with a low glycaemic index, and a source of beta-carotene, fibre and potassium. It is gentle on digestion and does not cause sharp glucose spikes.
Which dogs do you recommend pork for?
For active dogs that need quickly absorbed energy, dogs that don't tolerate beef, and dogs with B-vitamin deficiencies (especially thiamine).
Does pork cause allergies in dogs?
Pork is less allergenic than beef or chicken. A dog allergic to the classic proteins often tolerates pork well. Rotating proteins also reduces the risk of developing an allergy.
How much thiamine is in Veli Pork?
Pork is one of the richest natural sources of thiamine (B1). The combination with EntoPro™ (7–8× more B1 than beef) further strengthens the B-vitamin profile.
